Set on the tranquil island of Evia, at the stunning via Silence Hotel, this 6 Nights/7 Days is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself and other likeminded people and savour the art of living well. Between twice-daily yoga practices with me, long Mediterranian days of leisure, swims in azure waters, walking the hills or slow afteroons by the pool with a good book, you'll rediscover your natural rhythm - unhurried, grounded and alive!


Evia Silence Hotel is only 1.5 hours drive north from Athens Airport but a million miles away from it all. It is on the Pelion Peninsula an area that captivates visitors with it's natural beauty, rich history and cultural charm. Overlooking the bay, I chose this very special boutique style hotel to be our home from home. Carved into the hillside, overlooking the sea and just 10 metres from the water - it offers a rare sense of peace and connection to mother nature. Panos and the team are wonderfully warm and friendly and look forward to welcoming us.

A Note On The Weather

In late March early April both early mornings and evenings will be cool (wear a jumper or fleece) with temperatures during the day averaging 18 - 21 degrees.

Yoga is simple. This retreat is about living simply, practicing daily sadhana and having time to slow down to reap the benefits.

This retreat is about balance - the perfect blend of movement, rest, fresh air, inspiration and good company.


Each morning begins with an Anusara Yoga class that combines meditation, breathwork and energising asana practice. The result is that you will feel stronger, more centered and free. After practice we will enjoy a delicious brunch together. Gathering around the table is such an ancient human ritual and when we have delicous healthy food served to us, it becomes such an incredible gift.


Afternoons you can rest, explore or simply sit by the sea and read your book and bask in the sounds and sights of this beautiful place. There's time for hiking through the fragrant hillside, swimming in crystal clear waters, or chatting and connecting with a likeminded retreatants.


As late afternoon falls, we'll gather for a chilled yoga practice where deep relaxation is the aim. Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra among other practices aimed at soothing the nervous system.

In the evenings we will gather once again for dinner and taste some of the freshest most delicious food Greece has to offer.

So, as you can see the daily rhythm is easy, spacious and gives a great balance of structure and freedom.

The Yoga Space

The 'Lo' Yoga Room is at the heart of our retreat - luminous, with sweeping views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

With beautiful wooden floors, eco paint and quiet stillness - it's a sacred space for practice and reflection.


This is where we will explore strength and softness, movement and stillness, challenge and deep deep relaxation and the subtle art of being present.


We'll practice Anusara Yoga in this little piece of heaven. You'll have nowhere to go and nothing to do but immerse yourself in the experience

Accommodation

The little gem of a hotel has everything! Warm Greek welcome, stunning views and beautifully situated rooms.


All rooms have a glorious sea view! All but two rooms have a balcony with deckchairs for you to lounge and rest overlooking the sea. All rooms are spacious, bright and ensuite with kettle and water.

Anusara Yoga - a practice of balanced action

On this retreat as on all my retreats, the yoga practice is designed to support you and everyone regardless of where they are on their yoga path. Through carefully guided asana to improve balance, strength, and flexibility, you will learn to build a body that feels strong, mobile, capable and honoured.

Alongside movement, you’ll experience the deeply transformative tools of yoga—restorative postures, meditation, pranayama/breathwork, and mantra—to quiet the mind, soothe the nervous system, reduce stress, and reconnect you with your inner vitality. These sessions are created and crafted for all levels and in response to the need of each student and the group as a whole. The mix of practices offers a perfect blend of learning, challenge, and deep rest to help you feel grounded and alive.

The theme for our Simply Greece Retreat - The 5 Elements

This retreat takes inspiration from the Pancha Mahabhutas - the great elements of space/ether, air, fire, water and earth. In the yoga tradition these elements form not only matter but are the building blocks of everything we experience - including our bodies and minds. Over the week we will explore these elements through movement, breath, meditation and reflection - reconnecting to our natural sense of balance and presence. This is an invitation to feel more grounded, spacious and alive both on and off the mat. Yoga works, you simply have to do it!

Getting There

We will fly into Athens. From there we will have transfers at one appointed time. If you are flying from Ireland then have a look below at the flights that we are taking and options for return flights. If you are flying from outside of Ireland and want to avail of the transfer to Evia Island, then please be at Athen Airport for 15:30 departure on the bus.

Flying Out & Coming Home - just suggestions, you are responsible for booking your own flights and all transfers/transport other than the appointed transfers to and from Athens and Evia

We are booked on Flight FR4518 at 08:35 (am) Ryanair Flight from Dublin to Athens on 27th March.

On our last day, April 2nd, there is an AerLingus Flight from Athens to Dublin departing at 13:00 Hours (afternoon). You may however decide to stay for a couple of extra days and visit Athens, in which case you book whatever suits your plans.

Noeleen is a highly experienced yoga teacher, trainer, therapist & coach/mentor. She is known as 'the teacher's teacher' and has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years. As former founder and director of the award-winning Ard Nahoo Eco Retreat & Yoga School she spent decades helping people feel strong and supported, cope with stress and connect more deeply to their lives and nature. She has trained hundreds of great yoga teachers and lead over 80 retreats!

Now in her 60's, Noeleen shares a wealth of yoga wisdom and practical tools to help people stay healthy, vibrant and empowered at all stages of life. Her teaching blends deep knowledge of anatomy, yoga philosophy, yoga therapy and Anusara Yoga with a down to earth approach making her retreats educational, nurturing, inspiring and lots of fun!

Terms and Conditions for Retreats with Noeleen Tyrrell Yoga

By booking this retreat, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable Fee

The fee I have paid to reserve my spot on this retreat is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, except as outlined in clause 3 below.

2. Travel Insurance Requirement

I have or will acquire adequate travel insurance that covers cancellation, health/hospital expenses, and any other unforeseen circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, coverage for medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and cancellations.

3. Cancellation by Noeleen Tyrrell

In the unlikely event that Noeleen Tyrrell cancels this retreat, my retreat fee will be fully refundable. However, Noeleen Tyrrell is not liable for any additional costs incurred, such as airfares, flights, transfers, or any other transportation expenses.

4. Responsibility for Travel Arrangements

I understand that I am solely responsible for arranging and covering the cost of my airfares, flights, transfers (other than those included above), and any other transportation to and from the retreat venue. Noeleen Tyrrell is not responsible for any delays, changes, or cancellations related to my travel plans.

5. Schedule Changes

I acknowledge that the retreat schedule is subject to change. Noeleen Tyrrell reserves the right to make adjustments as necessary to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.

6. Personal Responsibility During Practice

I am fully responsible for my own practice and physical well-being during the retreat. Noeleen Tyrrell is not responsible for any injuries or health issues that may arise from my participation in the retreat activities. I agree to listen to my body, modify as necessary, and take full responsibility for how I move during the retreat.

7. Health Issues and Disclosures

If I have any health issues, medical conditions, or other concerns that might affect my ability to safely participate in any of the retreat activities, I agree to inform Noeleen Tyrrell Yoga at the time of booking. This information is necessary to ensure that appropriate accommodations or modifications can be made.

8. Force Majeure

Noeleen Tyrrell is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or changes that occur due to circumstances beyond her control, including but not limited to natural disasters, weather events, pandemics, travel restrictions, or other acts of God.
