Adjust with Confidence

Take Your Teaching From Good to Great!

Thessaloniki Greece, April 4th & 5th, 2026
Observation and Adjustments Teacher Training
Join Noeleen Tyrrell for a powerful and practical weekend designed to refine your skills as a yoga teacher. In this experiential training, you’ll deepen your capacity to truly see your students and learn how to offer clear, respectful, and effective verbal and physical adjustments.
When an adjustment is offered at the right time and with the right intention, it can be transformative. To receive skillful touch or a precise verbal cue in a yoga pose can feel like a door opening or a light going on - the body opens, the mind sharpens with attention and the teaching lands in a way that words alone cannot. These moments can spark "aha" moments for students, where the teaching becomes embodied.
A good adjustment is not just about alignment; it's about being seen, connected and supported in a world that often rushes past. This is why refining the art of observation and adjustment is essential for every yoga teacher who wants to make a lasting impact.
Observation and Adjustments are two of the highest teaching skills in Anusara Yoga —and also the most rewarding. This training is ideal for yoga teachers and experienced practitioners looking to build confidence and clarity in the art of presence, perception, and ethical touch.
This is a Required Module for those completing the 300 Hour Advanced Anusara Yoga TT. Also suitable for any yoga teacher who wants to become more skilled to serve their students.

What You'll Learn

See more than shapes: how to observe on all levels

Learn to look beyond alignment and biomechanics to also notice the emotional and energetic layers of your students. Observation is not about judgment — it’s about awareness, presence, and the ability to guide someone towards a deeper, safer, and more empowering practice.

Trust your intuition as a teacher

Every student is unique. This training will help you strengthen your confidence in reading the room, listening to your instincts, and trusting your experience — so you can respond with clarity instead of second-guessing yourself.

When, how, and if to adjust

Not every moment calls for an adjustment. Discover the art of discernment: when touch or direction enhances a student’s experience, and when it’s best to simply hold space.

Sensitivity, stability, and the art of effective adjustments

Adjustments aren’t about pushing people deeper — they’re about support, stability, and connection. Learn how to balance a light, sensitive touch with grounded confidence so your students feel safe, seen, and empowered.

The many forms of adjustment: verbal and physical

Explore how words, presence, and body language can be just as powerful as hands-on touch. You’ll refine your ability to give clear, inclusive verbal cues and learn how physical adjustments can complement them.

Boundaries and ethics in touch

Yoga is a space of trust. We’ll explore how to set clear boundaries, respect consent, and create a culture of safety in your classes so that every student feels respected and included.

Cue with clarity and precision

Great cueing is an adjustment in itself. We’ll refine your language so that your instructions are accessible, succinct, and impactful — ensuring that every student, no matter their background or body, feels supported.

Key poses, refined adjustments

We’ll break down essential asanas and explore adjustments that unlock deeper awareness and embodiment — always with the goal of empowering your students rather than “fixing” them.

The power of presence

More than any technique, your presence is what transforms the room. Learn how your energy, tone, and attitude shape the experience — and how to hold space in a way that feels safe, confident, and inspiring.

Each session will focus on a category of āsana, blending hands-on practice with reflection, discussion, and skill-building. We’ll explore why experienced students often love to be adjusted, and how to create a space where every student feels seen, safe, and supported.

Eligibility

Suitable for all yoga teachers and trainees. Curious practitioners are welcome.

This training is eligible for 12 CPD hours with both YA and YAP and is a Required Module for Anusara Yoga Advanced TT.
